"Intercultural Communication in German-speaking Countries".

Postgraduate program of continuous professional development and training

The course sums a total of 700 hours till the B1+ level, held by university professors of philology. It ends with a regular university exam, but also with the possibility to take the B1 exam at the Goethe Institute Sibiu. The course will take place with the physical presence of the participants in Sibiu (Romania).

After finishing the Postgraduate course, there is the possibility of continuing study in the summer (July, August, September) up to B2 level – within the Association Studia Oecumenica. Classes will be held with the same teachers and the B2 exam will be at the Goethe Institute Sibiu.

 

A successful graduation of the course (B2 Certificate) offers the opportunity to apply for a scholarship to study in Germany. It is also possible to apply for the German language study programs offered by the Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu (Protestant Pastoral Theology, German Studies, Pedagogy).

Period B1+:                           October - July (10 Months)

Period B2:                             July - September (3 Months)

Mandatory Classes:            4 hours daily (Monday till Friday) complemented by individual study hours.

Housing:                                in the student’s campus, Sibiu, Bulevardul Victoriei no. 40

Meals/Catering:                    cafeteria or kitchen use of dormitory.

The admission competition for the postgraduate program "Intercultural Communication in the German-speaking area" is organized for the academic year 2025-2026 in two sessions, April and July.

Candidates for admission to the postgraduate program "Intercultural Communication in the German-speaking Area" are graduates of higher education with a bachelor's degree or equivalent in the Socio-Humanities.

The type of admission competition is: admission on the basis of applications + interview.
